Environment variable VERILATOR_GDB is not used.

Added by Yu Sheng Lin 11 months ago

Hello, I find that the Environment variable VERILATOR_GDB is not respected when launching Verilator. According to the document, if VERILATOR_GDB is set, the command to run when using the --gdb option, such as "ddd". If not specified, it will use "gdb". It seems that it is because of a typo in Line 88 of bin/verilator, where run (("gdb"||$ENV{VERILATOR_GDB}) should be replaced by run (($ENV{VERILATOR_GDB}||"gdb").

(NOTE: I am using perl 5.28, and I am not sure whether this problem only exists in 5.28.)

Indeed, thanks for the report. Fixed in git towards 4.012.
