The first draft of UVM SystemC is available, including Apache licensed source code:
http://www.accellera.org/activities/working-groups/systemc-verification/uvm-systemc-public-review

Has anybody tried it. Would this be compatible with Verilator out of the box, or are there any special considerations?

Probably would work, unless they changed the tracing library in which case small changes may be needed to the Verilator tracing include files. As always we'll take patches if someone does the hard part of making them :)
