WaveJSON (https://github.com/drom/wavedrom/wiki/WaveJSON) is a waveform file format supported by WaveDrom, a JavaScript digital timing diagram renderer. Supporting this format makes it easier to show waveforms on a website.

Unless I'm missing something that format isn't appropriate for simulator output, the data is "horizontal" by cycle, and it doesn't support multiple signals having the same data, both are critical to non-trivial sized dumps.

If your goal is to convert small output waveforms into this format, I'd suggest writing or finding a script to convert VCD to this format, then you'll have an importer that will work with any simulator.

Thanks for suggesting it though. BTW WaveDrom is a great tool for documentation, just not suited to waveform simulation/debugging.
