The --help mentions -LDLIBS but that isn't actually an option. Perhaps there was a thought about plumbing both LDFLAGS and LDLIBS through to the generated Makefile. But it seems the safest course of action is just to remove the non-existent option from the --help since it just doesn't exist today.
