Description

Using version 1.486 of IPC::Locker on HPUX running perl 5.8.3. Using perl 5.8.3 to run:

use IPC::Locker::Server;

#
  1. This starts the server and never returns # IPC::Locker::Server->start_server(port=>1751);

Results in the perl compiler error:

Can't use string ("IPC::Locker::Server") as a HASH ref while "strict refs" in use at /gxs/scrip ts/perl/lib/site_perl/5.8.3/IPC/Locker/Server.pm line 127.

Thanks.

Sorry, the docs are out of date. It should be

IPC::Locker::Server->new(%server_params)->start_server;

though one would typically use the "lockerd" script instead.

Fixed docs for next release.
