The verilog-mode provides a template of a header. Would it be possible to add an automatic update of the field 'Last modified on' ? It could happen every time user saves a file. I know, that vhdl-mode provides such a functionality for its header. Thanks in advance.

Generally that's a bad idea as it'll cause false merge conflicts in version control. But anyhow, the feature already exists; rather than needing to be in verilog-mode, there's a generic way to do that in any emacs buffer. See:
